Borrow a guide to help you learn what birds you might encounter at your destination, then bring it back when you return.

Sometimes all it takes is the right book, activity, pair of binoculars, or close encounter with a backyard bird to spark a lifelong interest in nature.

 

Do you offer children's story times or activities?

Yes! Our monthly kids' reading and craft time combines two things we love: books and nature.

It's always free to attend and normally held on the first Saturday of each month, although the schedule can occasionally change around holidays or special events. We read a nature-themed children's book together and pair it with a related craft or activity to take home.

These events are designed to be fun, welcoming, and accessible. Kids don't need to know anything about birds to participate. Curiosity is enough!
