Colorado Springs artist Mary Wilson combines her love of birds, conservation, and creativity through colorful prints and stickers that range from scientifically inspired to wonderfully playful.

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Mary became interested in birds during high school and continued exploring that passion at Colorado College. Her studies included Flammulated Owls and desert birds in Arizona, but she always made time to draw and paint along the way.

Mary works in ink, acrylic paint, and watercolor, creating artwork inspired by birds, plants, field observations, and the lighter side of birding.

Mary Wilson’s stickers and prints reflect her love of birds, blending careful observation, vivid color, conservation, and a playful sense of humor.

An Artist Active in Conservation

Mary’s dedication to birds extends far beyond her artwork. She serves on the board of Aiken Audubon Society alongside our owner, Heather, and sales associate Meredith. She has also led Aiken Audubon birding trips, taught Birding 101 at Bear Creek Nature Center, and founded Tiger Audubon, the Audubon campus chapter at Colorado College.

Mary works with the Fountain Creek Watershed District, helping connect our community with the waterways, wildlife, and habitats that make this region special.

She is also part of the Southern Colorado People & Pollinators Action Network alongside Heather, working to protect pollinators, expand habitat, support community science, and encourage safer land-management practices throughout Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and the surrounding region.
